Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Johnny is the name, and having the best floppy ears is my game! I am 13 weeks old and my breed mix is unknown. But that's okay because they keep telling me I am a certified good boy. I was rescued as a singleton pup at one of our local shelters and I was so happy that I got to make my new best friend, June, after being rescued.
Like any puppy, I play hard and I use my mouth to play since I don't have any hands but the people at Second Chance are working with me to learn that toys are okay, hands are not okay. They keep saying I would benefit from a dog friend in my adoptive home, and I tend to agree! I love to play but a dog can also help me learn how to Walk the Line in a way that people can't. If you don't have a dog living with you, you have to promise me that you will help me learn all my manners so that I can stay the good boy that I am!
I am available for Foster-to-Adopt, which means that my forever family can go ahead and bring me home and Second Chance will schedule all my puppy booster vaccines and neuter once I am old enough. I am already microchipped, have been started on heartworm and flea/tick preventions, and have been dewormed.
If you want to learn more about me, or even better yet, meet me, go ahead and apply over at secondchancenc.org and put the name Johnny!
***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
