This helps 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue and Boarding with pet care costs.
Meet Jake, the exuberant and friendly pup who’s ready to bring joy and laughter into your life! With a tail that never stops wagging, Jake is always excited to greet new people and make friends everywhere he goes. His friendly demeanor extends to all dogs as well; he loves to play and snuggle with his furry companions, making him a perfect addition to a multi-pet household.
Jake shares his home with two wonderful kids aged 12 and 14, and he thrives on their energy and affection. He is a loving and playful pup, although he can be a bit mouthy in his excitement, so he’s best suited for families who can guide his playful nature. Jake enjoys his walks and walks well on a leash, making outings an enjoyable experience for everyone.
This fun-loving boy knows how to sit and is eager to learn more, especially when there are tasty treats involved! His mischievous side comes out when he’s on the prowl for a good toy or perhaps a shoe to sneak away with, so keeping items out of reach is a must! Jake is very food motivated, and it’s wise to keep all food off the counters to avoid any clever heists.
While Jake prefers to be by your side and may not love being in a cage when you’re gone, he’s a work in progress, and with patience and training, he will continue to adapt. His love for toys means he’s always ready for playtime, and his funny antics are sure to keep you entertained.
CO foster update: Jake is a fun, loving, and happy boy that is a ball of energy. He loves all people, big and small.
As a true husky, Jake is mischievous and will grab your shoes, dish towels, etc. and counter surf. The good news is we are working on his manners! He does know how to sit for a treat and before being fed. He is very food motivated. He knows his name and comes easily. Jake loves to run around the yard with his ball and may occasionally drop it for you so that you can throw it.
He is being fostered with female and male dogs. His foster siblings do not know what to make of his energy so they steer clear of him for now. He just wants to play, play, play. Another dog in the house should match is playfulness.
Jake sleeps in a crate by our bed at night and does not make a peep or need to go out. He does not like the crate when we are away so, someone who is home most of the time would be a great fit. He is let out multiple times a day but, has proven that he can hold it for 6-7 hours with no accidents at night. He has not had an accident in the house during the day.
Jake would benefit from a family who will work on his manners while showing him all the love in the world. In just a few days of fostering him, we can already see some improvement and he is slowly learning his manners and life in a house.
Is this fun-loving boy your match?
This husky is a lover! He loves to be around people and will bury his head into your chest looking for love. He has done great with other dogs, and even got to hang out with a baby cow!
Jake was rescued from New Mexico. He was found covered in oil. Unfortunately they were unable to get all of the oil out of his fur so he was shaved.
Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events!
We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently.
