My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone, meet Everlee. Everlee is a 4yr old fluffy frenchie weighing in around 30lbs. Everlee was surrendered by a commercial breeder after years of having babies...no more babies for this girl

Hi Friends, Im Everlee. I'm on the search for my family... could you be them?!? I'm a super adorable little lady. I love to play with my foster siblings but I also do very well keeping myself content. I recently learned what toys are and I love them!

A patient and chill home would be best for me. But be ready because when I do open up, I am quite the little love bug. I currently live in a home with lots of other doggies and some kitties and we all get along great!!!

Everlee is still learning to walk on a leash but she is doing very well. She is also doing well with potty training but still needs some encouragement. Everlee has not spent anytime in a crate since she has been in foster care. Her foster mom gates her in a small room and she has been perfectly content.

Everlee is UTD on all her vaccines and preventatives and she has already been spayed. If you feel like she would make a great addition to your family please visit our website at www.Zoeshouserescue.com and apply.

More about this rescue

Who We Are:
Zoe's House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare group based out of Sinking Spring,PA. We are comprised solely of volunteers that generously volunteer their time, their homes and their hearts. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless, neglected or abandoned animals from high kill shelters or from owners who can no longer care for them. We provide the animals with loving foster care, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation until we are able to pair them with compatible and loving forever homes. At times we also offer permanent sanctuary to those with special or medical needs and that are considered unadoptable.

Zoe's House serves as a resource to our community and to our adopters by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spay/neuter, behavior training, nutrition, puppy mill awareness, heartworm preventative and breed education. Our organization also networks with other shelters and rescues. We try to assist other organizations when possible.

Zoe’s House is not federally funded, and relies solely on donations to continue to rescue. Although we are not breed specific, the need to save Dobermans, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Pitbulls is ever growing; therefore, we have focused primarily on saving the lives of our beloved and majestic strong breeds.

What We do:
There are many people involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of each dog we take in. Our rescue effort starts with the initial intake request for a dog. Whether this be at a shelter of from an individual in the community, we try to gather as much information as we can. We then pickup or transport the dog to safety in rescue. At this time we administer immediate veterinary care to determine the health of the dog and ensure the animal has proper immunizations. We also have bloodwork done for a heartworm check, lyme, fecal and sometimes a blood panel depending on the age and health of the dog. The dog remains in "in-home" foster care and becomes a part of the fosters family for an undefined period of time. We evaluate the dog and work on basic manners and obedience. At times we have dogs for a longer duration due to health and/or age. The dogs in our care come with us to adoption events, home screenings, and ultimately permanent placement. Zoe's House then provides post-adoption follow-up and support and welcomes the new family to the "Zoe's House Family!" We strive to stay in close contact with all of our adopters to ensure the transition and life long relationship continues to be magical. We remain dedicated to the principal that we never want one of our rescues to end up in a shelter or in a home that does not provide a responsible and loving environment for the life of the animal.

We truly believe that one dog at a time... we are making a difference!
