Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ruby!
Ruby, a delightful three-year-old Goldendoodle from Natick, MA, has golden curls that perfectly complement her warm, loving personality. Weighing approximately fifty-five pounds, she makes a wonderful companion who enjoys both quiet moments to herself and quality time with her family. Whether lounging in the yard or soaking up the sun, Ruby is happiest when she's near the people she loves.
Ruby is accustomed to a lively household. She greets everyone with joyful enthusiasm, her whole body wiggling with excitement! Once she's comfortable, she loves resting her head on your lap, showing off her affectionate and loyal side. Ruby is also a smart girl who knows commands like "sit," "stay," "come," and "shake." She even enjoys playful tricks like “touch,” where she taps your fist with her nose, always eager to make each moment fun!
Ruby’s day is filled with simple joys: lounging outdoors, playing with stuffed animal toys, and napping in the kitchen while meals are being prepared. She thrives on routine, enjoying two meals a day and either walks or playtime in the yard. At night, she’s happy to settle down in the living room.
Ruby is incredibly sweet and will do best in a home without children or other pets, where her personal space can be respected. In the past, Ruby had an incident where she bit a child who startled her while she was resting. This behavior is rare, but it’s important to understand that Ruby values her personal space when she’s relaxing. She’s worked with trainers and behaviorists to manage this, and her future family should be experienced with dogs who need clear boundaries. She’s had some challenges with resource guarding but she’s quick to trade her "stolen treasures" (like a sock or tissue) for a treat!
Ruby is a loving dog ready to share her heart with a family that understands her needs. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, contact us at adopt@joyfulpets.com to meet Ruby!
