My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Crumpet is a shy little kitten that was living as part of an outdoor cat colony. As he grew, the colony's caretaker noticed how social he was becoming, and brought him to MACS to give him the chance to find a real home. Crumpet is quickly learning to trust people, and spends a lot of time watching and observing. The braver he gets, the more playful he becomes, and every day he makes a little more progress! He has shown a high interest in other cats, and would likely do very well in a multi-cat home. Crumpet is looking for a family that will give him the time and space to learn how wonderful life with people can be, and to let him come out of his shell on his own time to show the world just how sweet and playful he can be! If you'd like to give Crumpet the home he deserves, fill out an application for him today!

This may be done where the pet is located, please read Story it will list location or applications are on our website.

Owned a pet in the past, please list veterinarian pet went to.

Approved applicants will be asked to come to the shelter to meet the dog. (Cats/kittens are at other locations to visit)

Interested in a dog? Please fill out an application at our website, please list dogs name on application or if you don't see one, please list breed/gender you are looking for. (We can place you on a wish list) Once approved we will watch for a dog for you. When we get in animal that might be what you are looking for we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet the pet.

$60 Adoption fee for cats. $100 for kittens. $150 Adoption fee for dogs. $250 for puppies. All potential adopters must complete our Adoption Application.

** Most cats/kittens are located at PetSmart in Utica or PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills, unless noted **

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable cats are located at a PetSmart in Utica, PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills or a PetCo in Roseville. You can visit them at the stores when they are open.

For Dogs we are asking people to fill out an application online to get approved. Applications can be found here: https://macsshelter.org/dog-application. We will schedule a meet and greet of the dog after application approval.

We do take our dogs to different pet stores in the Metro Detroit area on Saturday's. You can visit our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/macs1935) to see where our next dog adoption event will be located. These events start at 11 AM - 2:30 PM.
