My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Hello there Gracie, Gracie how are you today?" This girl knows her name! Answers when spoken to! Gracie is a very, very sweet indoor cat that enjoys access to a fully enclosed cat-safe outdoor environment. She loves to spend time lounging on a patio chair. She is not a jumper or a climber and is never in the backyard without someone being home, and always has access to be indoors. Her owner thinks she would do well with a catio, especially one with a pet door so she could come and go as she pleases during the day. She has never been outside after dark and has never been allowed to be free-roaming. Gracie gets along with the 2 other cats in the household and likes to rub up against cat-friendly dogs. Her favorite sleeping places are in her carrier beside the cat tree, on the cat tree, in a cardboard box, or in the bedroom. She chooses to sometimes sleep under the bed rather than on the bed.

Gracie has a built-in treat timer and will tell you precisely when it is time for treats. This will surely be a favorable pathway to winning her confidence and bring out the best in her. She loves to eat, preferring to graze throughout the day on Purina One dry kibble. Gracie is litter box perfect.

She is affectionate, but not overly playful. Gracie loves to be brushed. She tends to stay to herself in another room during occasional visits with grandchildren. We think she would do best with adults in a quiet home or a home with older youngsters who have learned appropriate respectful behavior toward family pets and understand to patiently give Gracie space to do as she wishes.

She is shy at first with new people, coming out after an hour or two to show her beautiful self and check them out. Gracie will be shy at first in a new home. She will reveal her darling personality after she feels comfortable in her new situation.

Why is such a lovely cat being re-homed you may ask? Her family is relocating to a foreign country at the end of the year and feels the long air flight and drastic change would be far too stressful for this dear sweet kitty. So, in Gracie's best interest, they have made the heartfelt decision to seek the perfect adopter for their lovely girl.

Are you a fan of the beautiful Birman breed? Gracie would be perfect for you!
Gracie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, eats dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her owner in Brentwood.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Gracie please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Additional adoption info

READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Go meet their pets

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.

When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!
