My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Dmitre, a stunning 5-year-old exotic shorthair, and a bundle of love who's looking for my forever home. I am the ultimate kitty who is always there waiting for attention. I am not a lap cat, but love being next to you on the couch. I do great for my face cleanings and baths, did you say nail trim? I sit there patiently while you finish. I am the most patient of cats, if I don't say so myself. You'll see in my pictures just how handsome I am, a face anyone could just fall in love with.

The main need for me is that I require prescription urinary health food (Science Diet). I am subject to urinary crystals, but no issues as long as I am on the urinary health food.

I really do not like loud noises, so a quiet home with no young children would be my perfect home. I have been around dogs and tolerate them well as long as they give me my space and they are not yappy. I may not be the most active and playful kitty, I just prefer to hang out with my people. That is my happy place.

If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who will keep you company, Dmitre might just be your match.

My foster mom says I am neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. They say that's good!

I currently live with my owner in Napa.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats (like me) with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you're my perfect adopter please explain why in the comments section of my Adoption Application, and contact Debbie at debbie.cocanour@gmail.com or 714-851-4854. If you are unable to reach Debbie please email

Additional adoption info

READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Go meet their pets

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.

When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!

More about this rescue

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, socialization, and rehoming of purebred and other exceptional cats and kittens into permanent homes. We are further dedicated to educating the public on the proper care of specific purebred breeds and the importance of spaying and neutering pets to control the animal population. We carefully match cats with their forever families by evaluating each cat's personality, temperament, and special needs.
