My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mister Oasis! This sweet 1.5 year old boy, weighing in at just about 25 pounds is sure to keep your lap warm! While he hits the end of the lap-dog spectrum, he is very persistent in his lap-loving endeavors! Despite being quite shy at first- he warms up with some time, and some treats! This sweet guy cannot get enough snuggle time in, and if he could; he too would spend ALL of his time with us, lounging around; or romping the dog park, giving it all a good sniff! Oasis is an extremely sweet pooch, who ALSO knows all of his basics! He has the commands sit, down, and is also house-broken, and crate-trained! Leaving further training a non-necessity! As he hits maturity, this guy doesn't seem to need much, only lovin's and an occasional walk, he also LOVES just watching the world go by. He is absolutely sure to join you anywhere, and even better, no where at all! He doesn't mind if you spend your day at work and come home just to love on him! He will just be happy you're there! Oasis is the perfect type of dog if you'd like to play some indoor fetch, or just lay up on the couch!

My adoption fee is only $210! This fee covers all of my vaccines, microchip, nex/heartguard, heartworm test, AND my spay/neuter!

Please Note: All adoptions are on a first-come first served basis with approved adoption applicants. We do not hold animals unless the adoption is out-of-state, and fees apply. The animal's welfare is our first and only priority, in doing so, they are moved from the shelter into their respective homes as quickly, & humanely as possible to remove the risk of undergoing extreme stress, compromising the immune system, & behavioral concerns.

Think I might be the perfect fit for your home? You can apply for me here https://animalwelfarefriends.org/adopt/application/ OR you can apply in person when you come visit me any day during business hours! You can even adopt me that same day once approved!!

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
