My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Salutations! My name is Milove, but you can call me Milo. When I’m not cuddling and making biscuits, you can usually find me in drawers or cabinets taking one of my daily naps. I love to explore and meet new animals who are kind and gentle. My curiosity sometimes gets the best of me so I tend to spend most of my days in the window watching the world go by. I love to play and prefer things that roll or slide across the floor; two of my favorite things to play with are paper bags and boxes. I’m usually a super quiet kitty and don’t meow unless I need to ask a favor like belly rubs or kisses. I look forward to becoming a welcoming addition to your family. Mahalo

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
