My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am an adorable brown tabby girl! I’m bonded with my brother Skittles so we MUST be adopted TOGETHER. He needs me!

My 2 brothers and I were dumped in a yard in Suffolk and found by concerned citizens, then we went to our foster family. We were scared as we had not been loved by humans! We seemed to be in pretty good shape healthwise, but unfortunately my one brother fell ill and passed. This was hard for my brother Skittles who was very bonded to him, so I comforted Skittles and we became bonded. I am more independent but Skittles would not do well without me!

I love the laser pointer - it is the greatest toy ever! My foster family loves being entertained by me while playing with it and I love wands too! I also like balls with bells and especially love toys that are wrapped with rope. I turn into a ninja when you pull out the wands or laser pointer! Want to see how I can jump or flip? Swing the wand around and I will show you! My favorite things are laying in the warm sunshine, wrestling and playing with my brother, and chasing the laser pointer or wand!

I love laying/sleeping on a cat tree, anywhere the sun is shining in. I love to snuggle with my brother and in the morning I like to snuggle up with my foster mom while she enjoys her morning coffee. I love Fancy Feast Gravy and Purina one kitten dry food. I also love those Temptation treats, especially in the morning!

I am just a silly playful little girl who loves to play but I have learned that snuggling with my foster mom is pretty awesome too. When I am getting all the pet and chin rubs, which I LOVE, I purr so loud!

I don't like to be approached quickly, so please be patient with me. I get along with other cats of all ages as my foster home has other foster cats and resident cats. Older kids are okay (my foster home has a 13 year old, 16 and 17 year old), but I would not do well around small children or dogs.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.

We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.

We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.

We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.

We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.

Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.

Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

Go meet their pets

Our pets are available for Meet and Greets at their various fosters homes or at our kittery at Pups n Stuff in Virginia Beach for fosters who do not show animals in their home. Appointments must be scheduled in advance!

At Pups n Stuff (where we're the Stuff), you can make an appointment to come see some of our adoptable kittens. It is at 4330 Holland Rd. in Virginia Beach.

Many of our adoptable adults are located at the Catnip Cat Cafe. The Cafe is in the Ghent section of Norfolk at 1611-B Colley Ave.

We also have adoptable adults at Pembroke PetSmart, 4421 Virginia Beach Blvd in Virginia Beach.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce feral cat population in Hampton Roads by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens for adoption into loving forever homes. We are a VDACS registered 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 2014 with over 60 foster homes.

Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.

We are always seeking fosters, volunteers, transporters, and trappers to join our team!
