Meet Bella! Bella is a 6yr old husky who found herself on the e-list at MCACC in August for having a bite on record. The bite did not break skin, and was a reaction to being physically handled. She has shown no aggression in her foster home, and has shown lots of affection for her humans.
Early on in her foster home we learned that Bella experiences some separation anxiety. She has been known to cry and try to escape when left home alone. She was not previously kept in a crate, and it is not known how she would respond to one now. Bella will not miss the opportunity to lounge and cuddle on the couch and she will rarely turn down a good belly rub. She is fully potty trained and responds well to verbal corrections if she is doing something she shouldn’t be. Overall Bella has a low and calm energy which she shows off during walks with very minimal leash pulling.
Bella is in a foster home where she interacts very well with both the large and small dogs of the family. However, there have been instances where she showed resource guarding with the other dogs. Because of this we believe her ideal home is somewhere with other mellow dogs or as an only dog. While Bella is an affectionate girl, she is not a fan of being moved, or having her paws and tail touched. We would recommend older children (13-17 years old) who can understand and respect Bella’s boundaries. A calm and quiet home would be the perfect atmosphere for sweet Bella to thrive!

Additional adoption info
We ensure that our huskies only go to families on a property with a 6ft secure fence, and remain the guardian of the animal for life - if there is ever need for a family to rehome their husky again due to health or any other major concern, we are always willing to take the dog back and find them a new home.

We do not have a physical shelter location just yet, and operate solely out of foster homes. We are planning to begin participating in adoption events in the near future - these will be listed on our website once available!
