Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This gorgeous Redbone Coonhound is a lovebug!
Lou came to us from our partner shelter in the South, and we're not sure how he could have ended up being a stray. He had a few minor injuries, but he's in great condition now. He's 5 years old as of September 2024.
Lou is a sweet, snuggly hound who craves human attention. His short red coat is surprisingly soft.
He really just wants to be part of the gang, so get ready for some hugs from this hound.
We think he'll do great with all kids of families. He loves people and is friendly with other dogs. We recommend older kids because Lou has so much love to give that he can't quite contain his enthusiasm for jumping up to greet you.
Lou is already housebroken and knows "sit." Now he's ready for leash work and the chance to learn other doggie manners from a kind, consistent human leader. A fenced yard and walks and hikes will keep this boy in good shape!
He's neutered and up to date on vaccines.
If you're a hound lover, Lou could be your perfect match!
