My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bentley is an adorable 3-year old male American Staffordshire Terrier who was brought to the HSOV on September 10, 2024 and was found near the kennel area/front entrance to our shelter that morning. Unfortunately the individual(s) who placed him there did not leave any information about him.

This sweet boy has a light brown/brindle short smooth coat with a large white bib on his chest, white toes on his back paws, a long tail, and a beautiful squishy chubby face with hopeful trusting eyes, a milk chocolate nose, and short floppy ears.

Bentley has the sweetest, most lovable personality. He has a very shy, gentle disposition and is the kind of dog that you immediately want to hold close and whisper in his ear that everything will be ok. .. And HSOV Kennel Techs Hannah Mcclain and Cadince Bibbee teamed up to give Bentley extra TLC and showered him with attention when these photos were taken on September 10th.

Bentley loved attention from all of his people friends and also loved meeting a young puppy (and was very interested in making the acquaintance of another shelter dog "Honey" that he saw being walked in the distance).

Bentley weighs 58.6 lbs. He doesn't appear to have had much walking-on-a-leash experience but made a noble effort with Hannah and Cadince by his side.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Bentley will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
