Sour Patch is a sweet kitten with a beautiful gray and white coat. He is very, very handsome and craves your affection once he gets used to you and his surroundings. Like most kittens, he can't resist a good mouse wand toy and will show off some acrobatic moves if you get him in the zone. He gets very lonely on his own and should be adopted with another kitten, or into a home with a friendly resident cat.

Sour Patch needs to be adopted into a calm home with patient owners - preferably with some prior experience with cats. He is easily scared, especially by sudden movements and loud noises, but never lashes out or acts aggressively. If you have ever cared for a shy animal, you know how wonderful it feels when they realize you're a safe person and start to open up. Sour Patch is just a baby and has so much room to grow. Please consider adopting Sour Patch and watch him blossom with time, gentle care, and love!

1.
Submit Application

Download our questionnaire form and email or fax it (filled out, dated and signed). Or complete one in-person during our weekly events.

2.
Interview

One of our volunteers will contact you in 24-48 hours to discuss your questionnaire and answer any questions you might have.

3.
Approve Application

After your initial conversation, our volunteer will talk with your references and contact you for any clarification or further discussion.

4.
Meet the Pet

Typically meet and greets take place during our weekly adoption events but sometimes they can happen in a foster home or at a special event.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Initial all points and sign on our 1 page contract.

6.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees range from $75-150, depending on the cat.

7.
Take the Pet Home

Pose with your new family member for a "Happy Tails" photo before bringing them home.

Our adoption process includes a short questionnaire, a couple of phone or in-person conversations with you and your references. Adoption fees range from $75-150
All our cats and kittens are fully vetted prior to being posted for adoption, including spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, tested for FIV/FeLV/HW, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for parasites.

Trenton Cats Rescue is an all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit charity dedicated to pursuing humane choices for cats living in Trenton, NJ since 2011.
We are primarily involved in the rescue of homeless and needy cats and kittens from Trenton, NJ. We pull from Trenton Animal control, perform trap-neuter-return of community cats and also help rescue of kittens and friendly strays. We also help residents with subsidized spay neuter for companion cats living in Trenton.
