My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I'm Carmelo. I'm a puppy, what more is there to say! I'm adorable, love to cuddle, snuggle, give kisses and play for hours. I love to chew things since I'm teething, so make sure I have tons of fun toys to play with. I'm still learning about potty training, crate training, and all the other good dog skills but I'll catch on quickly with lots of consistency and patience. You know you want to come and snuggle me - who could resist? I'll give you kisses, show you my toys, and then you can take me home!

Training for a Tail-Wagging Success:
Carmelo embodies the spirit of curiosity and an eagerness to please, making them an ideal candidate for positive reinforcement training. We understand that a well-trained dog is a happy and well-adjusted member of the family. Teaching Carmelo essential commands not only enhances their behavior but also ensures their seamless integration into the human world. From mastering basic commands like "sit" and "stay" to refining her social skills, Carmelo is ready to embark on this educational adventure with a dedicated and loving human companion.

Your Role in Carmelo's Journey:
As a potential pawrent, your commitment to Carmelo's training is crucial for their development. Creating a consistent routine, offering positive reinforcement, and fostering a loving environment will empower Carmelo to flourish as a well-behaved and confident companion. Carmelo is seeking an active home that can meet all of their exercise needs and give them productive outlets for their energy. Are you ready to embark on this transformative journey of love and learning with Carmelo? Contact us to meet this delightful pup and witness the magic they bring into your life. Together, let's ensure Carmelo grows into the pawfect addition to your family!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
