My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lunar was originally e-listed at MCACC several years ago and adopted into a loving home for several years. Unfortunately, major medical issues forced his adopter to return him to us, and he is now available again. This sweet, friendly guy is more on the small side for the breed, and is very social and affectionate.

Lunar is a medium energy dog who adjusted very well to his foster home. His foster family said that he has an easy-going nature and as a result had an easy transition. He loves other dogs and plays great with the 3 other huskies in their home, reading their cues well and listening without issue. There were plenty of kids in his last adopted home, and in his foster home, so we know he does well with children. He can be excitable and energetic, but he is not aggressive at all.

Lunar loves to talk and shows his husky sass when in conversation. Don’t be surprised when he has to get the last word in. He also wants nothing more than to be loved on with belly rubs and cuddles. Like most dogs, he loves treats and meal times which gives the prefect opportunities for training. Lunar is so well behaved that when he goes for walks, he walks with minimal pulling. If there was a negative about Lunar its that he doesn’t care for his crate overnight. However, he will sleep in his crate in the day as long as the door is open. Lunar is a sweet, funny, and kind boy who makes the perfect house guest.

Lunar is looking for his furever home where he can engage in conversation and receive all the love that he deserves. He would thrive in any home and will make an amazing addition to any family or couple. You couldn’t ask for a better husky. If you want to make Lunar the newest addition to your family or home, please fill out our adoption application!

Additional adoption info

We ensure that our huskies only go to families on a property with a 6ft secure fence, and remain the guardian of the animal for life - if there is ever need for a family to rehome their husky again due to health or any other major concern, we are always willing to take the dog back and find them a new home.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a physical shelter location just yet, and operate solely out of foster homes. We are planning to begin participating in adoption events in the near future - these will be listed on our website once available!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit organization located in the Phoenix valley that specializes in the adoption and placement of Siberian Huskies. We accept owner surrenders and strays, and treat dogs with specialized medical needs, or those that have just become homeless, preparing them for adoption into a permanent home! All dogs are made current on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed and neutered before being placed.
