My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He's not exactly blue and he's definitely not a crab but Blue Crab's name fits him perfectly. He's got a long body, four short little legs, and ears that disagree on how to sit atop his head. Blue Crab is social and just cannot get enough belly rubs or time with his people. He's great on walks and his inner sea creature shines when he's near water - he plunges in and will swim out as far as his leash allows him. Blue Crab was found as a stray so most of his history is unknown. He did come to us with a bad rash but has improved with the use of some medication, he may need to stay on these medications long term.

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
