My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is taking cues from the resident dogs. Mastered the stairs, sleeps at the end of the fosters bed all night, good with foster's 22 mo old grandson, barks excitedly when someone comes to the door and keeps his distance but tolerates being picked up very well, loves the pets & scritches, food & treat motivated, loves to be close to the resident dogs, much better on the leash on short walks, but prefers the fenced back yard, reacts to neighborhood outdoor cats (tries to chase them) but has otherwise not had any exposure to cats. Tucker has done all his business outside from night 1; no marking or stress tinkling in the house.

Tucker is just the perfect little fluffball. He has slept quietly all night every night in his crate but will nap on the bed as well. Does well in his crate when his foster parents leave the house. Tucker is starting to eat and drink well and loves soft treats.
HHR Tucker is the sweetest little gentleman you’ll ever meet.

Additional adoption info

The first step is completing an application. Once approved you will be put on a waiting list and contacted when a dog matching your requests becomes available. We first offer the dog for adoption to their foster family, then to approved applicants on file, and lastly to the public through online listings.

We require an application with a veterinary and three personal references. If you do not currently have a veterinarian because you do not currently own a pet, we will contact your personal references in place of a vet reference.

After you're matched with a dog, you complete our contract, and submit the appropriate adoption donation:

• HavaHeart Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 charity and 100% of money raised is spent on the pups we serve.
• All HavaHeart adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, parasite free, have been spayed / neutered, and microchipped.

Go meet their pets

Meetings are available by appointment only. We do not have a shelter, pets are housed in private foster homes in order to learn how to be a beloved family member.
