Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Jake, an adorable 6-week-old (as of 9/15/24) male German Shepherd mix puppy ready to melt your heart! Jake is alert, attentive, and loves to patiently wait for his food, making mealtime a breeze. He's a playful and cuddly pup who enjoys chew toys and gets along great with both cats and dogs. Jake is incredibly respectful, responding to cues from his furry friends to give them space when needed.
He's already potty pad trained and loves his food, though he prefers a little warm water mixed in to soften it. While Jake isn't altered yet, he's available for foster-to-adopt, giving you a chance to bond with this sweet, fluffy bundle of joy before finalizing the adoption. If you're looking for a loyal companion, Jake is the perfect addition to your family!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.
Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
