My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable pup is Twinkle. He is 12-weeks-old and weighs 10 lb. We expect he will be about 35 lb full grown. His foster says " Twinkle is well named because he just twinkles with enthusiasm and energy! He is an Australian shepherd with the double Merle genetics, leading him to have almost complete vision impairment, although he does appear to be able to see things that are lower to the ground. His hearing is normal. Twinkle loves to be with his people and is doing well with navigating his environment with verbal cues. Twinkle loves to play with squeaky toys. He absolutely loves treats and ice cubes and will eagerly sit to get them. Int he evenings, he loves to snuggle up next to his person to settle into sleep. Twinkle is progressing with housetraining and is already crate trained. He is ready to be the twinkle of your eye!" The vision issue is genetic, often seen in Merle aussies. He is an otherwise healthy pup. Twinkle is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated for age. His adoption fee is $445. If you would like to meet/adopt Twinkle, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions.
