My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Poptart and I'm a sweet little girl looking for a family. My story is a sad one. A nice lady saw a man driving me and my siblings around in the back of his pick-up truck...and then, he dumped us all in the wilderness to fend for ourselves! My siblings and I were terrified. The woods were dark and scary. Luckily, the nice lady who saw us get dumped called Beagle Freedom Project right away. Staff at Freedom Fields rushed to find me, and after lots of time and patience, they rescued me and my family! When we first arrived to Freedom Fields, I was shaking in fear. After some loving and lots of treats, my tail has started wagging. I love being pet, and I love other dogs. I'm still pretty scared and getting used to being loved. Freedom Fields staff doesn't think anyone has ever pet or cuddled me before. I can't believe how much I've been missing! I'm looking for a patient family full of love to show me that not all humans will abandon me. Will you take me home?

My location: NOWATA, OK

Additional adoption info

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Standardly, Beagle Freedom Project does not facilitate animal meet and greets. Instead, we begin all BFP adoptions with a trial-period; this is called ‘fostering-to-adopt’. At BFP, we believe that the best way for an adopter to be certain that an animal is their perfect match is by giving them an opportunity to truly know each other before finalizing an adoption. As BFP animals come from such traumatic pasts, they can often be shy upon a first meeting. Foster-to-adopt trials allow these special animals an opportunity to decompress and show their authentic personality before an official adoption decision is made.
