Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, I'm Donut! I'm a young adult wire haired Terrier mix, and I've got adorable cream colored, fuzzy hair. Please know this big, busy world is still a little new and overwhelming for me. I didn't get a lot of chances to socialize with people early on, so I'm still learning about things like cuddles, meeting strangers, and understanding that humans can be kind and gentle. I'm a quick learner and ready to trust, as long as I can do it at my own pace. A patient family who understands that I'll need some extra time to come out of my shell would make all the difference.
I'm a dog who finds comfort in familiar things. I have some experience living with other small dogs. If you have another easy going dog at home, that might help me feel more secure while I adjust to this new life. Watching and learning from a friend could really help me come into my own. I'd also love a cozy, quiet space where I can relax and explore without too much hustle and bustle.
Once I feel safe and know I can trust you, I'll reward you with a heart full of love and loyalty. I might even surprise you with my playful, joyful side, it's just waiting to shine!
So, if you're someone who believes that the best things are worth waiting for and has a home filled with love and patience, I'd love to meet you. I know there's a big, happy future ahead for me. I just need a little help finding it. Could that be with you?
