ABOUT ME...
I am Charlie. I am a chihuahua/pug mix. I look more like a pug; I have the curly tail and everything. One day I was left in this place with a lot of beverages, stools, and tables. My foster mom said it was called a bar and a 4-year-old should not be in a bar. My foster mom decided to let me stay with her for a while until I find a magnificent home. At my foster home I love being outside in the backyard. I will stay out there all day and night if I was allowed. There are a lot of dogs in my foster home. They are ok, but I prefer just 1 or 2 furry friends and plenty of humans. I do not play with toys much; I would rather take a nap or cuddle with a human. I am a good eater and I sleep through the night. I do not like a messy crate, so I make sure I do not potty inside of it.
I AM GREAT WITH...
I love all people, even the little ones. They pet, hug, kiss, talk and feed me. They are awesome. I will spend time together with them all day if I could.
I AM STILL WORKING ON...
I am still embracing my furry friends. I get a little nervous when they come around me and I will bark at them. I do not like to fight so I just bark hoping they will go away. Foster mom said I have improved a great deal being around my furry friends. She said the barking has stopped a lot and I have even tried to make a friend or two. Foster mom was shocked when I went on a short leash walk with one of the furry friends. I can walk on the leash when I am in the mood. It is not one of my favorite things to do, I would rather be in the backyard.
I AM NOT GOOD WITH...
My foster mom said I am perfect just the way I am, but I need to work a little harder on my potty habits. I must be reminded that the yard is not only for my naps, but also to potty. She thinks I am doing an excellent job in the brief period I have lived with her. I keep hearing about these animals' called cats. I am not sure if I like them or not because I have never met one.
I would like a home that will love me, have a fenced in yard and not too many furry friends. My foster mom says I am an incredibly good boy and easy to care for.
**All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM.
