My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Little Bits, a sweet and timid older girl who found her way to the shelter on 9/13 after being left behind when her owner moved. She's looking for a quiet, comfy home where she can relax and enjoy her golden years. If you have room in your heart and home for this gentle soul, Little Bits would love to meet you!

Little Bits is currently eligible for rescue and adoption. Head to ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to meet her.

Little Bits is a sweet older lady: https://youtu.be/xq0jJ0YqdJU

Behavioral:
Per volunteer 9/15: Easy to get out of her kennel. She pottied as soon as we got outside. She likes treats and takes them gently. She is timid but wants to trust. She will walk over for pets and did give kisses. She was non-reactive to a passing dog. Sweet older girl.

Per staff on 9/14:
BEHAVIOR EVALUATION: Little-Bits

KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray

KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Little-Bits was curled up on her bed when the handler approached and she looked up with semi hard eyes. When the handler opened the kennel door she came over with low wags and soft eyes, once the leash was secured she came right out.

LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally

HANDLING:
Little-Bits came outside for her eval with neutral eyes and a wagging tail. She hesitantly took treats and flinched and tried to run off when the handler touched her back. Everytime the handler tried to get her attention she would retreat and hide. She was offered the treats but didn't take them. The handler tried to pet her again and she gave some whale eyes and tensed up- flinching everytime the handler tried to pet her (mind you, she seems to have some very bad skin issues). She tolerated some chin scratches but gave some lip licks and immediately stiffened up. With time and patience, Little-Bits seems like she would warm up. While she was outside she did give some signals of solicitation but retreated in fear.
