My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Indy is a 6 month old husky, who was rescued along with his sister from an unsafe situation. The woman who took them in made sure they received everything they needed to be happy and healthy pups! Months of fostering, and no luck finding them committed homes. She reached out to us, and we were happy to help them find their forever homes.

He is a sweet boy, and has lots of personality and silly husky quirks. When Indy gets excited he is very vocal, which can be intense for some. However, we love the husky yips and howls.

Indy knows some commands and is very food motivated! Despite their reputation, huskies can indeed be trained- lol.

We know he will make such a fun addition to a home. Interested in adding Indy to your pack???

Cats between 6 months-5 years $100

Dog adoptions include a written application and an on site interview. All family members, including other resident dogs, must meet the new dog.

The adoption process for cats and kittens includes:
A detailed application.
An interview with the potential adopter(s).
And a home visit, in some circumstances.

To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.

We are an all-volunteer, no-kill, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats lost within our city limits. We are a California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138 so all donations are tax-deductible.

We are always in need of volunteers and have many areas in which you can share your talents. Please attend one of our volunteer classes to get started.
