My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Jordan and I’ll start by saying, she is one step from perfect, that one step to perfection is simple- people of her very own. Jordan became a fast favorite of everyone here for her happy, sunshine face, and general good-natured personality. Easy on leash, great with kids and cats, a playful companion to every dog she has met, and is great company!

https://youtu.be/4RyYcCIXx70

She is gentle, calm and so unbothered, no matter the circumstances. She is used often at the rescue to help assess in-coming dogs and their approach to meeting new dogs, which means she has met a variety of dogs and has navigated even the toughest ones with ease, unbothered and with an understanding. Her silly approach to play is disarming and inviting to most dogs, she invites them to play in the warmest way which is always so sweet to see. Her quick best-friend is an extra beefy bulldog boy, the most unlikely pairing in so many ways. She would both love and thrive in a home with a dog-friend to bounce around with and take naps in the shade next to. But don’t worry, despite her love of a good romp, you will often find her laying around with a toy, an absolutely self-entertained queen! She doesn’t need a ton of entertainment but would absolutely love being a playmate! She shines with a buddy! An ideal playmate for Jordan can look like a wide-range of dogs from big to small, as long as they enjoy some level of play, even better if its chase. Jordan has the long legs and stride that make chase almost unfair against most dogs but he manages to always plays fair and just wants to have fun.

Personality wise, Jordan can be described as a gentle-lady, who is both social and a touch silly. She is always happy to see you, the whole body wiggle as proof, and greets strangers with a welcoming energy, never pushy or demanding of attention. If you love a dog that can roll with the rhythm of a busy home where the front door is always open- this is your girl! She will welcome any and everyone with warmth and be by your side while you whip up dinner for the crew. I cannot say it enough, she is impressive!

Jordan is also cat-tolerant! Honestly she is cat-friendly in the sense that she really wants to be friends with the cat but respects the fact that the feelings don’t always seem mutual. If you have ever wanted to raise a kitten in the company of a dog for a max cute companion situation- Jordan would like to be formally considered for the role.

An ideal home for Jordan is hard to quantify because she is so incredibly easy-going and versatile. Jordan would be a fantastic addition to almost any home- individual or family. If you have kids and y’all like to walk to the park she would love that! If you have a dog or dogs that need a social, easy-going and friendly dog that knows when to stop and go, Jordan would be great for you! A yard to stretch those long legs, and for all those games of chase, would be best. If you are a first time owner and want a dog that is mindful, friendly, playful, and just goofy enough for a good giggle- while making it look and feel like you have always been each others- Jordan is the one! Are you an outdoorsy couple wanting to live the dog-parent life with a fur-explorer who loves hikes and enjoying all the goodness out there- Jordan is ready!

Basically, Jordan is a dream boat who loves everyone and is ready to begin her life with her very-own forever family! If any part of you thinks Jordan is the one, apply now! Don’t let her get away! To the slight sadness of all of here, we know she is going to be adopted so quick.

If you have any questions about Jordan or are ready to move forward by applying, here is all the info you need.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

• 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
• Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
