My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ALL HAIL MAGNUS!

Meet Magnus, the noble ruler of his kingdom!
With a heart as big as his bark, he rules with kindness and grace, ready to find his forever throne! This sweet hound has been waiting for over 300 long days for his crown, but hasn't lost hope yet!

Magnus may be a senior, but this just means he is wise as can be, and ready to lead his loyal subjects into a life filled with love and laughter! This hunky man will capture your soul with his hilarious antics, energetic personality and gentle demeanor. He is a fair and kind ruler, making so many friends and bonds on his journey.

Dubbed the majestic monarch of cuddles and compassion, how could you not fall for this sweet face??

Magnus isn't huge on other pets, and would be best living in a home without any other rulers to worry about - but has recently made a canine friend on outings! He would still prefer they live on their own land, but we know he will keep expanding his circle with the right home!
Magnus is so deserving of his forever kingdom full of enrichment, fun and love!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
