Say hello to Frita, the short and sweet staffy with a heart as precious as her adorable low-rider frame! This charming little lady is a dream on the leash. She'll walk right by your side, happily following your lead and making you feel like the best dog walker ever, but be prepared for her to stop now and then - when she wants some love, she'll sit down and patiently wait for pets. If you crouch down to give her some, she'll even rest her head on your leg and melt your heart with her soulful eyes.
Frita is curious about other dogs but polite on the leash; she keeps her cool without barking or pulling and is happy to keep moving along with you. If you're looking for a walking buddy with lovely manners and a sweet disposition, come meet Frita to find out if this little lady is the match for you!
During playgroups, Frita was introduced to boys first and she seemed a bit uncomfortable and unsure. We then brought in a female and she was the same way, and even perhaps a bit more dominating. Her best companions would likely be laid back friendly males.
Although she is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $400 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment.

She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
