My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Surrendered to a family friend when the original owner lost their home in Hurricane Beryl, they were surrendered to our rescue so they could receive the vetting they desperately needed.

This girl was severely neglected and possibly abused.  Her Foster mom reports:

Marie is much better, she still does not like men .  She does like females and she comes to me when I call her. She stopped hiding outside so no more glow collar. She is eating well and likes to eat in her crate but will graze in the kitchen. She is sweet and loving but only to me. She is completely house broken and does not pee or poop in the crate. She still  hides in the house. I think she will always be timid and insecure. Her forever home should be with a female and maybe one other dog or cat. She does get aggressive out of jealousy . She puts up with my husband but doesn't trust him so a male must be very Patient with her and vey loving. She sleeps with us and likes to be covered in a blanket. She will come lay by me later at night.  She's as good as she's going to be. Her forever family needs to show lots of love. She is still not leashed trained , she is very afraid of cars and unfamiliar places.

NO KIDS UNDER 14!

1 other dog OK.
