Caboo was found with a sibling at a Kirkwood business. It was cold and wet and they were obviously very sick. A kind woman took them in and warmed them up and tried to get them to eat. They were only a few weeks old and almost motionless. She called Heartland for help and we immediately went to get them.
Unfortunately, Caboo’s sister didn’t make it through the night, passing away on our way to the emergency vet. Caboo was lethargic but responsive so we gave him every ounce of care we could and he pulled through like the little trooper he is!
Caboo is an adorable kitty full of life. He gets along with all the other kitties and loves to ask them to play, but he’s also very good at entertaining himself. He absolutely loves lasers and anything else that moves. He’s also very affectionate, loving head nudges and naps on your chest. He’s simply adorable .
Caboo had a seizure the night we got him, and then had a few followup seizures over the weeks to come. He has been seen by a neurologist but we Have not been able to determine the cause of them. After two years of medication and no seizures, we were able to successfully wean him off the medication and he is now seizure and medication free! The family who adopts him will need to understand that it is always a possibility that he could have a seizure in the future, although the possibility is very small.
Caboo is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is current on vaccinations. If you would like to be a permanent part of Caboo’s life journey, he will love you and appreciate you forever. Once you meet him you’ll see what I mean! HHS13090JT
