Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sam & Rosie
Meet Sam and Rosie, a special brother & sister pair with green eyes and beautiful tabby marble markings. These two were rescued together from a life of hardship and neglect and are therefore shy and unsure of humans. They have been in a foster home for over two years and have made good progress but will require special care and understanding. Don’t be fooled by their frowny faces, they are really quite sweet and gentle but they prefer to watch you from a comfortable distance and will need a safe, quiet place to retreat to when feeling anxious.
Sam is curious and likes to check out what’s going on in the house, but he does not like to be petted or picked up. He will eat Churu treats from your hand and play string toys with you, but prefers not being touched. It will take Rosie some time to warm up, but once she is comfortable in her surroundings she will let you pet her and even pick her up for short periods of time. She has a habit of licking the fur from her belly and is currently on daily medication to help with anxiety. Calming aids such as diffusers and treats have been used in their foster home.
Sam and Rosie need a patient and loving adopter with a heart for rescue animals to welcome these two into their home. They would do best in a calm and quiet home without young children and dogs, though they do well with other friendly cats and would make good companions for them. They don’t require much, just a safe, comfortable place to call their own. Will you give them a chance? Sam and Rosie are around three years old. Because they have to be adopted as a pair, the adoption fee is two for the price of one.
