My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Royce is a Boxer mix that is approximately two years old. Recently adopted from a local shelter, he is very affectionate and loves ear rubs, belly scratches, and hanging out at your feet. He has been curious and playful with our cat and other dogs. Royce enjoys walking, playing tug, and chewing on/playing with tennis balls/other toys. Running circles in the yard is also a favorite, and he is beginning to learn how to play fetch. Royce also does well on hiking trips. The farthest he has gone is about 8 miles. He knows some basic commands: sit, down, go to bed, no, and wait—although still in training, and reinforcement is needed to improve consistency. He has dramatically improved in this area since adoption.

Royce has a very loving, affectionate, and silly personality typical of a Boxer. He loves pets and hanging out. He would likely make a great companion dog for an adult or family with older members. Royce would not be well-suited in a home with young or small children, however.
