Clover is a 3-year-old spayed female Siberian Husky whose previous owner became seriously ill and couldn't keep her. Prior to coming into our rescue, Clover was kept in a small kennel run behind a barn and used for breeding puppies! We are happy she is now going to have a chance to become someone's pet! Clover was very shy and fearful when she came into our rescue but, with the help of our volunteers, Clover is slowly coming around. She is currently in a foster home with some wonderful people who have been working with her. The most recent information from her foster Mom is as follows:
Clover is still not fully housetrained but she is doing much better. Clover is still a little timid in the house. She is fine once she is in, but it takes a while to coax her to come in. She is afraid of storms. Clover still needs some work on manners, but she is much better behaved with other dogs. She just had to learn what was acceptable and what wasn't. Clover will need someone who can work with her to earn trust. She is fine with us and our "dog siiter" but is still timid with people she doesn't know. Clover might do best as an only dog.
Note: We are an all volunteer organization and will not respond to brief e-mail requests for more information about a dog. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out and submit our
online application. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required.
Also, a minimum 5' high fenced yard is required to adopt any of our dogs and invisible fences are NOT acceptable.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, on heartworm preventative year-round, and microchipped for identification.
