My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🩷 NAME: Tilly & Allie Mae
💕 AGE: Tilly 6-7 yrs and Allie Mae 1-2 yrs
❤️‍🩹 WEIGHT: Tillie 12 lbs, Allie Mae 13 lbs

💟 LIKES: During down time, Tilly likes to curl up in her bed or couch. Tilly enjoys playing with Allie Mae, and is a busy bee. Allie's favorite thing is to play!

💓 DISLIKES: Not a fan of the rain, but will go out. They do not like going outside after dark without you.

💕 PERSONALITY: Tillie and Allie Mae are both very sweet little girls.

💗 TEMPERAMENT: Sweet and friendly.

❤️ ENERGY LEVEL: Tilly is low/medium, and Allie Mae is Medium/high.

💌 FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Tilly is a laid back girl, but does like to play with Allie Mae.

💖 FAVORITE TREAT: Any

🩷 EATING SCHEDULE: 8am & 4pm

❤️‍🔥 GOOD WITH CATS, DOGS, KIDS OVER 6? Don’t know about cats. Great with dogs, and kids.

🩷 HOUSE TRAINED: Yes

💝 SIGNALS TO GO OUT: Will go to the sliding glass door.

💗 CRATE TRAINED: Tilly: No. The only time she goes in the crate is to eat. As soon as she is done, she will let you know. Allie Mae: yes. Both girls do great when you leave. They will curl up with each other in a dog bed.

💞 CHALLENGES: Tilly sometimes will exhibit anxiety when she knows you are in the house, but cannot see you, unless she is sleeping. This is why Tilly sleeps in our bed at night. Tilly also likes to check out the garbage, so can must be secure or away. Allie Mae has none that I am aware of.

💕 MEDICAL ISSUES: None.

❣️ THE BEST HOME: A fenced in yard. They both come from neglectful situations, so a patient, understanding and loving home is what they are searching for. A home that wants to add both of them is our preference.

Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue.

ADOPTION FEE's:

More about this rescue

Legacy Dog Rescue has two main purposes. First is rescue. We take dogs from many places. Pounds, stray & owner turn ins. We place them in foster homes then find them loving forever homes.

The second purpose is community service. Our spay/neuter program is very close to our hearts. We believe by focusing on spaying and neutering we are helping reduce the dogs that could be sent to the pound. We eliminate the problem before it happens. We also will assist financially to both dog owners and other rescues when appropriate.

We currently run a food assistance program to help dog owners that are struggling to feed their pets due to economic hardship. We are always accepting dog and cat food, or gift cards to help us keep food on hand.
