My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wedgie, the playful, wide-eyed puppy with an irresistible charm and a heart full of love! Wedgie’s journey started out a little rough—at just 4 months old, he was found wandering the streets on his own and taken to a local shelter. Due to his big, expressive eyes, which have a bit of a bulge, the shelter initially believed he had special needs. However, when he joined our rescue and was given a full health check-up, we learned that Wedgie is perfectly healthy! His unique eyes may give him a distinctive look, but they don’t affect his vision or health in any way.

Now at around 6 months old, Wedgie is a happy, typical puppy through and through. He’s full of energy, loves to play, and can’t get enough of attention—whether it’s from humans or other dogs! His social, bubbly personality makes him a joy to be around, and he quickly wins over everyone he meets with his sweet demeanor and eagerness to interact. Whether he’s romping around with his canine buddies, chasing after toys, or simply soaking up some belly rubs, Wedgie is always up for a good time.

As much as Wedgie loves to play and explore, he also has a tender, affectionate side. He’ll gladly curl up next to you for some cuddle time after a day of fun, content to be by your side. Like all puppies, though, he’s still learning the ropes and will need a home that can provide him with the time, patience, and guidance to grow into a well-mannered adult dog. Because he’s still in that impressionable stage of life, Wedgie would thrive in a home where his family isn’t gone for long periods. He needs consistent training, structure, and lots of love to become the best version of himself.

Wedgie’s future is as bright as his personality, and he’s ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family that will cherish him. If you’re looking for a lively, loving companion who will shower you with affection and keep you smiling with his playful antics, Wedgie could be your perfect match. All he needs is someone who’s ready to invest in him, give him the care and attention he deserves, and help him grow into the wonderful dog we know he can be. Could that be you? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
