My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Majora, a 3-year-old pit mix with a heart full of love! Recently pulled from Evansville Animal Care and Control, Majora is sweet and ready to find her forever home. She’s playful and eager to please, though she's still working on perfecting her leash manners. With some patience and guidance, Majora will make an amazing companion. Could you be the one to give her the loving home she deserves? Apply at ITVrescue.org.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
