Meet our cute little girl named Betty Lou! Betty Lou is about 3 years old and she came to us from a hoarding case we aided another town with. We think Betty Lou is some type of small Poodle mix. She lived in a home with about 12 other small dogs. Betty Lou is the most shy of the dogs we took in from this situation. She likes to lay in her bed and she is a bit scared of the world right now. We are looking for a quiet, patient home where Betty Lou can decompress and be given the time to adjust. We think she will bond with her owners once given the time to warm up. Betty Lou is good with other dogs. She gets a little uncomfortable if they are in her face or trying to jump on her, but she would be fine in a home with a relaxed dog. We think she would be fine with cats. We are looking for an adult only home currently for Betty Lou.

You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
