My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella has an all too familiar story. Her guardian passed away and no one in the family was able to step up and care for her. Sadly she found herself all alone in the local shelter, scared and confused. Fourteen year old Bella had not had anyone to help keep her gorgeous coat brushed in quite some time and she came to us severely matted. She will be feeling so much better after a spa day very soon. Bella was reportedly good with an older female cat she met in the shelter, so she might be ok with another cat in her new life with a proper introduction. Like many older cats she requires a special diet to help her kidneys. She’s worth the extra care and will repay you with her unconditional love. This nice cat craves affection and is a talker. We think she's saying "adopt me and give me a soft bed and a warm touch!"

More about this rescue

Golden Oldies Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June 2016.
Our mission is to be a resource and advocate for older cats in Monterey County. We re-home older cats in Monterey County whose guardians can no longer care for them, or those who are at risk in local shelters. We place these cats in temporary foster homes and then find permanent loving homes for them enriching the lives of both the cats and their new humans.
We promise a lifetime commitment to the cats in our care. They either will be adopted or will live out their lives in one of our foster homes.
Golden Oldies is led by a board who share a vision of helping older cats in Monterey County live out their remaining years in safe, secure and loving homes. We are all volunteer and 100 percent foster-based
