Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, we're Fredericksburg and Corinth! We are a delightful, friendly, social, and outgoing duo. We both love being pet and picked up as we are very affectionate, so we love being around people, often cuddling and playing with our foster family. Any time we don't spend cuddling, we spend playing together, though we'd be very happy to have additional feline playmates! Our favorite toys are wands and balls. We love running and climbing, bathing in the sun, cuddling, and napping on warm blankets. Life is wonderful.
We often use scratching posts and do not mind the carrier. Playful, active, and independent while also calm and gentle, we really are the best of both worlds! Our ideal home would be with family or a young couple who want to join the fun and have hands ready for giving us lots of pets. Overall we are healthy and energetic and cannot wait to meet our new family!

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
