AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - LUCY
BREED - Jack Russell Terrier/Shepherd Mix
SIZE - About 20 pounds
AGE - born May 2024
GENDER - Female
MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known
BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS -Lucy is a precious little puppy who appears to be a perfect match of something Jack Russell-ly and Shepherd-ish! She is one of a pair who came to us from an out of state shelter to escape euthanasia and we are delighted to be able to serve both Lucy and her litter mate. These happy pups want to be nowhere except in your arms and are gentle, playful souls. What a wonderful addition either would be to a home bringing so much love and laughter! We believe the pups were born around the first of May and they are now fully vetted (spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated). The pups are ready to find their forever families! Both are in good health and are likely to be 20-30 pounds when fully grown. We are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with their new puppy. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard allows for safe exercise and potty time. They may not be well suited to small children or very small dogs who could be upset by puppy enthusiasm, but will fit nicely into many other homes.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Petinquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet the precious pup at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting it and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
