Katrina came to us after being found in the forest in McCall. How in the world this girl survived out there by herself and blind is beyond us! The good folks at the McPaws Animal Shelter made sure she was safe and healthy then asked Fuzzy Pawz to take her.
Katrina was born blind and has no idea that she is special. She has learned her foster home quickly and rarely bumps into anything. She is an excellent litter box user and knows where her food and water are located. She has quickly learned what the sound of a can of cat food opening means, and she queues up with her foster cat sisters!
Katrina loves to play. She especially likes noisy toys that roll. She will play for long periods of time. She likes children but does not like to be chased, she actually will go to a kid before she will go to an adult. She loves to attack insects and has so far scored a fly and a moth! She has some amazing leaps in her. She is not bothered by other cats and may be fine with laidback canines. Katrina wants to be friends with other cats. Loud noises don't bother her. In fact, she enjoys being with people and likes a little bit of chaos. She just attended a birthday party and was the center of attention as she attacked the wrapping paper. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her! Katrina is learning to trust adults and will need a bit of time to adjust to a new home.
This quiet girl enjoys being talked to and will follow her people around the house. She will need a patient home that will take the time to let her adjust before being handled. She has already formed a bond with her foster parent where she can pick her up and pet her, but she WILL let you know when she's not in the mood. Time and trust-building are the keys to bonding with Katrina. It will be well worth the effort!

More about this rescue
We are a group of animal lovers banded together to rescue unwanted dogs and cats that are in shelters and pounds located throughout Idaho. Our non-profit rescue places each animal into our foster home program while we search for forever homes for them. We supply all vet care, food, toys, bedding; really anything they need while in our care.
We focus on those animals that are considered “hard to adopt” for various reasons; like kennel stress, having a black coat, being over 8 years old, etc. Often a foster home rather than a shelter environment helps give many of these animals a second chance at the life they deserve!
We relay on community donations and individuals willing to be foster care givers in order to continue our work.
