My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There is nothing sweeter than seeing a puppy smile and draw you in to be a friend and a part of their new and fresh world they want to explore. This little girl is called Maggie and she has a happy spirit about her and is anxious to find her new and forever family to raise her in all the right ways. Maggie is a purebred great Pyrenees puppy. She was born on a property of over 150 acres to a Great Pyrenees mom and dad who are guardian dogs for a large flock of goats, over 150 goats to be exact. She was part of several litters that should have never been born but they were and now Critter Calvary rescue is helping find the proper indoor  family pet and canine companion homes for many of the puppies.  Maggie is one of several girls that is ready for a new home by the middle of September. We are requesting that anyone applying only be looking for them to be indoor canine companions. No working dogs.  The only tasks that should be required of her are snuggles, love, playtime in the backyard with family, and adventures with her people in the great outdoors on hikes or boating excursions on a lake or backyard explorations perhaps with children. We want her to know what a soft dog bed feels like and maybe a nap by a fireplace on a cold evening. She is a working breed, but we do not want her to be a 'working girl'.  We want her to earn her keep by just loving you unconditionally and bringing a family pure joy. If you are interested in this four to five month old girl that will ultimately be a 70 to 80 lb. adult, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com

PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal.
