My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cola! This yellow lab came into the Shelter as a stray after a good Samaritan found her tethered to a tree. She was nervous when she first arrived but over time, softened and warmed up to staff. Cola has been enjoying enrichment opportunities such as toys and food puzzles. She enjoys going out with staff to sniff around the yards and would be a great walking buddy. When meeting other dogs, Cola has been interested but then seems to prefer not to interact too closely. A home as the only dog may be best to set Cola up for success. High traffic dog areas may not be the best for Cola, especially in the transition to her new home. An adopter that will help her transition with positive reinforcement based training will be best to help Cola bond to her adopter and begin to learn some life skills and manners for her next home.
