My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $200, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home

Beautiful Cleo. She has such a pretty face, little pink nose and expressive eyes. Cleo is so much fun to be with. Just a great companion. She is curious and loves some playtime but she would love a nice cat tree by a window where she can do some lounging. Cleo is gentle and easy to handle. Not overly talkative but she can be chatty. Occasionally, meows at her toys to let them know who is boss. She likes a wand and string toy with a squirmy little worm on the end.
Cleo at just 3 years old was a wonderful mama to 6 beautiful kittens. But since then she has decided she needs a little Me Time. She now would be happiest if she was your only kitty.
Likes attention and cheek pets from her human that is for sure.

Cleo is spayed, microchipped and is current with vaccinations.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
