Meet Archie!

Archie is a 2 year old, 30 lb., Poodle x Australian Shepherd. He is friendly, curious, and playful. He loves treats and toys, especially tug-o-war toys. He does great with other dogs, and we think he would benefit from another confident, playful dog in his adoptive home. He warms up to women and children more easily than men and is cautious with strangers.

Experience with high energy dogs would be helpful for his adopter. He will need regular exercise and mental stimulation. He walks beautifully on a leash and will jog with you if you're up for it!

Archie is house trained and knows some obedience basics. We will be updating his vetting on 9/16. Archie's coat will need regular grooming. He needs a home with a yard to run, no apartments please.

We are requesting a donation of $500 for his adoption.

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period.
