My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet 10 year old, 10 pound sweet, mellow Barley. A Yorkshire Terrier who was found as a stray in awful, awful condition. He would be a wonderful addition to any home; however; if a person wants a dog good for long hikes, he might not be the ideal dog. He would be the ideal dog for a couch potato type person! The Yorkie personality definitely comes out at mealtime, meaning he has little patience if his food is not given to him as quickly as he wants it!
Barley is potty trained, sleeps beautifully through the night, walks nicely on a leash, is a good car passenger, gets on just fine with cats, other dogs, adults and kids. He loves to be near his Foster human but is not overly needy. We all think he is absolutely adorable.
He does bark sometimes when his Foster Mom is gone so no apartment living for this little guy!

Their adoption process

1.
Meet the Pet

Come to our adoption event and meet the dog you are interested in adopting or fill out our adoption application.

2.
Submit Application

After you've met the dog then you fill out our adoption application. If your application is approved we'll let you know.

3.
Approve Application

If your application is approved then we set up the home check adoption.

4.
Home Check

Then there is a home check that is when we bring the dog to the new home and if everything looks safe we leave the dog.

5.
Pay Fee

At the home check that is when you pay the adoption fee.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting an Adopt Me Rescue dog, please visit our website and fill out our adoption application www.adoptmerescue.org. We review each application and pick the most suitable situation for each dog. WE DO REQUIRE A HOME-CHECK and you must be at least 21 years of age to adopt a dog from our organization.

There is an adoption fee please e-mail us in regards to the dog your interested in and we will let you know the adoption fee.
