My name is Raven!

Meet Raven the 6.5yr Chow/Shar Pei Mix!

Raven has the typical Chow personality- she is laid back, independent and can be stubborn at times. She has had a difficult past and she is still learning to trust people. As most female Chows, Raven can be quite sassy. Her adoptive family will need to be patient with her while she is getting acquainted and comfortable. It is important to refrain from grooming her, grabbing at her, or getting in her face until she is fully comfortable, which may take some time.

Once warmed up, she is a loyal and loving girl! Raven loves being around her people, sunbathing in the backyard, carrying around her toys, and of course napping. She tends to have a relaxed temperament at home, but she still gets in playful moods. She'll get the zoomies every once in a while, and she loves walks!

Raven requires a home with no children under 16. She would love a fenced yard, however this is not required. Raven can be dog selective, but she tends to do well with other laid-back pups. She has not been tested with cats, but we feel she would do well as long as properly introduced. Most importantly, she is looking for a family who will move at her pace and will work with her as she is getting comfortable. A home with prior experience working with reactive/anxious pups is highly recommended. We will be working closely with her adoptive family to answer any questions and ensure the transition goes as smoothly as possible.

Raven is up to date on vaccines, fixed, microchipped, HW- and recently had a dental done. She is house trained and crate trained.
