My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Corvus! This 3 year old Cocker Spaniel mix came from a pretty rough hoarding situation, but it currently in foster working to rise above it, here is what his foster had to say about Corvus:

`Corvus asks, could you be too good to be true, that he can`t take his eye off of you?

This sweet but shy cocker spaniel boy may be missing an eye, but he can see you just as well with his heart. After living in a backyard his entire life he is taking a little time to get used to new things, but has quickly become fond of soft snuggly pet beds, treats, and using soft pet toys as pillows.

He does very well in a crate, likes other dogs, and seems to really like cats. He is also a fan of car rides. He likes lounging on the couch and watching some TV with you, and really likes animal shows.

He is working on his leash skills, but doesn`t mind being carried outside to go to the bathroom. He says a quiet home that will let him build his confidence and continue to come out of his shell would be his ideal match, especially if it came with a fenced in yard and another pup.`

Our adoption fee for dogs is $200.00. This fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip, dewormer, and consistent heartworm and flea prevention before leaving the facility.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
