Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there, my name is Lilly and I am a tiny 7 lb Chihuahua mix, about 2 years old, and I found my way into a San Antonio Animal Shelter after being attacked by a dog and needed emergency care for some puncture wounds. I also have a cloudy right eye resulting from an older injury, but it does not require treatment. This is the trouble with being a tiny dog left outdoors to fend for herself. It’s scary! I need human parents to look out for me, feed me, and let me snuggle beside them in bed at night, under the blankets, safe and cozy and loved.
I am a friendly girl with lots of “zoom” and boundless enthusiasm. I’m shy when I first meet people until I deem them as loveable, and despite my earlier situation with another dog, I am still friendly with other dogs. My favorite pastimes are playing with stuffed animals, chewing on Yak chews, and hanging out with my people, but not always in that order. I’m just happy to be loved and cared for, so everything else is a bonus for me. I’m a good girl, already housebroken and I know how to use a potty pad when necessary. I’m not in love with sleeping in or staying in a kennel, but I tolerate it without freaking out. I will walk on a leash and itty-bitty harness with just a bit of encouragement, and I don't mind going for a ride in a car. Now that I am completely healed, bandages off, and playtime resumed, I am ready to get this party started and find a real forever family! I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!
PUPDATE: I'm in Connecticut so come by to meet me!

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
