Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Iris!
I came to the shelter in rough shape, but I've been with a lovely foster family for the last few months who has been taking great care of me, but it's time for me to find my forever home!
My foster family says I would be best suited for a chill home with no dogs. I am super easy-going and just adore the company of people! I have not met a person or a comfy bed that I don't like! A family with prior experience caring for an elderly cat with minor health issues would also be ideal.
I do have a few ongoing, chronic medical conditions that will need to be kept up with for the rest of my life. I am deaf likely due to my age. The vet diagnosed me with chronic URI/asthma that is well controlled with a daily steroid pill, probiotics, and a lysine supplement. I LOVE to eat and have no problem scarfing down my meds when mixed with wet food. My blood work showed I have a very mild case of FHV, however, statistics show that up to 90% of cats in general have been exposed to FHV and symptoms are very manageable if present.
